I knew I was wanting some new make up products so before the weekend arrived, I did some research (as I usually do with make-up/skincare) and made a little list of the things I wanted to purchase.

The first place I went to was Urban Decay as I've stopped using powder to set my make up and have seen so many people use the range of settings sprays they have. The 'Chill' MakeUp Setting Spray was recommended for dry skin so I went with that one and it cost £20 which I thought was pretty good. You get 118ml of product and it's oil free, paraben free and has a temperature control technology which is perfect for the warmer days. It also has a pretty nice scent to it too.

Next was Boots. I wanted to get into using a face serum as I figured it would help my dry skin and even it out a bit. I read so many reviews online raving about this serum and I love Soap & Glory anyway so was definitely up for trying it. You apply this before or as your moisturiser , evening and night and it leaves your skin feeling so smooth. I'm just using it at night at the moment and I noticed that my spots had reduced even after the first night. It smells absolutely amazing, quite citrusy but to me it smells like the orange and white chocolate cookies from Sainsburys. I can see this becoming a holy grail product for me.

Lastly was MAC. I love MAC but I can only go there for lipsticks, blushes etc as I'm too pale for the foundations and concealers. I only own bright coloured lipsticks such as 'Up The Amp' & 'Pink Poodle' by MAC so I wanted a lipstick which was fairly neutral that I could use as an everyday colour or when I don't feel like wearing a bright colour on my lips. I picked up 'Modesty' which is described as a muted neutral pink and it's a cremesheen finish. I don't go for matte lipsticks anymore as my lips are awfully dry and chapped so it just sticks to them. Then I was torn between 'Well Dressed' and 'Dame' blushes but Well Dressed was just so pretty I just had to have it. It's a satin finish and is such a gorgeous pink shade. It looks perfect for Summer.

Do you own any of these? Let me know what you think!

  1. How did you find the make up setting spray? I've been thinking of investing in one for myself and have hard the Urban Decay one is good. How do you think it fared? Have you tried Mac's Taupe? It's my fave MAC lipstick. I'm your first GFC follower, please check out my blog and if you like what you see, follow me too :) xx

    1. I'm quite liking it, it seems to hold my make up pretty well throughout the day! Taupe looks lovely, I haven't tried it yet but I have Mehr which I think looks pretty similar. Thanks for following, I actually already follow you! x
