NEW IN | MAC EXTRA DIMENSION EYESHADOWS

The last time I was in MAC I spotted the Extra Dimension Eyeshadows and they all looked gorgeous. After swatching a couple and being amazed I just had to have some. Most of the shadows are currently out of stock on the website but having a look at swatched of the whole range, the two I was desperate for were luckily available.

I went for Silver Sun which is on the left and Sweet Heat on the right. Silver Sun is a silver (obviously) but shines a gorgeous green metallic colour. Sweet Heat is just my favourite, it's a beautiful rose gold shade and I just seriously can't get enough of it. They are very pigmented, creamy and easy to blend. When more of them come back in stock I will definitely be grabbing some more.

Have you tried any of the Extra Dimension Eyeshadows?

OOTD | TROPICAL

Primark Blouse (Last year) / ASOS Jeans / Black Converse / ASOS Sunglasses

Even though it's currently pouring it down outside and feeling more like Winter than Summer, the other day the sun did make an appearance. This meant I finally got to pull out this blouse again which I bought last year and wore it quite a few times. I love it because of the tropical print and bright colours.

CURRENT SKINCARE ROUTINE (DRY/SENSITIVE)

Morning
What I do in the morning is pretty simple. The first thing I do is take some of the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water onto a cotton pad and wipe away any dirt that may have collected on my skin over night. Then I just moisturise with the Yes To Carrots Day Cream as I have quite dry skin so this helps really put moisture into my skin so I've got a nice smooth base before applying make up. I don't really tend to use a toner as I've often found them to dry my skin out a bit and my skin can be sensitive so I don't like add too many products.
Nighttime
To remove my eye make up I will use the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water again on a cotton pad and just hold it onto each eye for a couple of seconds and then wipe everything away. Then for the rest of the make up, I take a small amount of The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter and massage it into my skin so it really helps to break down the make up. I then just add a bit of warm water to my face which turns the butter milky, then wipe everything off with a warm muslin cloth or flannel.
For a little exfoliation I take some of the Yes To Carrots Exfoliating Cleanser which I am really liking at the moment because apart from the small beads for exfoliating it is also creamy which makes my skin feel really nice and soft after rinsing everything off.
Lastly, I have recently started using The Body Shop Aloe Vera Night Cream and I love it. It is for sensitive skin and feels really light and fresh on the skin yet still feels very moisturising and I think this has been helping my skin a lot.

What skincare products do you like?
What would you recommend for dry/sensitive skin?

5 PRODUCTS I LOVE FOR SUMMER

As the days are finally starting to get warmer, it's starting to feel a bit more like Summer. Although it's always seems to be forecast rain on the weekends, boo! Nevertheless I'm going to be sharing five products that I always go to in the Summer months.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Perfume: Whenever the sun comes out, I instantly reach for this fragrance. Its such a light and fresh scent and it's very fruity and floral smelling. It also has coconut water as a base note which adds to the summery-ness (if thats a word).

L-R: Up The Amp Lipstick, Pink Gold Eyeshadow, Pearl Cream Colourbase, Well Dressed Blush

MAC 'Pearl' Cream Colour Base: I pretty much use this product all year round but its perfect for making your skin look lovely and glowy. I usually apply this to all the areas I want to highlight but it could also be used as an eyeshadow.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 'Pink Gold' Eyeshadow: Following on with the cream theme, these gel-cream eyeshadows are great for the warmer days. They don't crease and are long lasting which is great. They can be worn alone, as a base/primer or you could even use the brighter colours as an eyeliner!

MAC 'Well Dressed' Blush: For me this is quite a subtle blush which I like because I'm not really much of a blusher person. It's a beautiful pink and it's a satin finish which gives a gorgeous sheen to your cheeks. I couldn't get a very good swatch of this but you can see the colour properly in the photos above.

MAC 'Up The Amp' Lipstick: I don't tend to reach for this lipstick during the colder months as it's quite bright so I feel like I'd be a bit out of place. So whenever Summer rolls around it becomes my every day lipstick. It is such a gorgeous purple with a hint of pink and is my favourite MAC lipstick to date.

What are your favourite products for Summer?

LEARNING TO MAKE TIME FOR MYSELF

As today is the first day of June, I've made a vow to myself this month to take some time out for myself every day. I want to especially take some time to read more as whenever I get a new book it takes me around 5 months to actually finish one. The book I was reading previously I actually finished last night which is perfect as it means I can now start on my new book 'Will Grayson, Will Grayson' which I've been waiting to read since I got it for my birthday back in February.
Taking baths is another thing I love to do because it gives you that time away to relax. I pop in a Lush bubble bar or bath bomb and just lie there and stick some Youtube videos on my laptop or take a book in and hope I don't drop it! Either that or I put on a Spotify playlist and have a little jam.
Other than watching Youtube and listening to music, I obviously like to read through some blog posts and see what other people are loving or look for some outfit inspiration. Also to see what other people do to relax!

What do you do to relax?
Have you read Will Grayson, Will Grayson? Let me know what you think of it!
